Rules To Live By

If you don't mean it, don't say it.

If you can't finish it, don't start it.

If you don't believe it, don't receive it.

If you can't make it, don't fake it.

It you don't need it, don't take it.

If you don't want it, don't pursue it.

If you're allowed to use it, don't abuse it.

If you can't fix it, don't break it.

This way you stay true to yourself and others won't perceive you to be something you aren't.

The Millennium Woman

The

millennium woman takes matters into her own hands,

she's confident, self-motivated, and self sufficient.

The

millennium woman devotes her time to being a mother,

she leads by example, she's the image her child emulates.

What do they see in you?

The

millennium woman is secure enough with herself

to know that a man does not define who she is, or

who she will become.

The

millennium woman recognize game, when it walks

through the door, and refuses to play the game

because she has respect for herself.

The

millennium woman has respect for her body,

the man she chooses must be intimate with her

mind, spirit and soul before he shares her bed.

The

millennium woman takes God seriously,

she lives the life she teaches.

The

millennium woman is me.

The Other Woman

So here I am again, as I've been many times before.

I am the other woman, a fact that cannot be ignored.

So many empty promises, so many unnecessary lies,

There is insecurity and obstinacy beyond our disguise.

What about her, does she lay awake while you're with me, pinning for you as I do, whenever you're not around.

I am a Black Queen, with so much to offer, in need of a Black King, where to my heart and to my bed only will he cling.

So I realize now, I must respect myself and your wife, even if you don't.

Ducking, dodging, and sneaking around, no that's not what I want!

God made the Commandment on adultery and you made a serious vow.

I love the Lord and I love myself, so at this time I'll bow.

So long married Man, Goodbye!
